FUCK You. It’s a good 3 hours before I’m alive again.

The only reason I’ve been doing as great as I am is because I’ve been able to stay connected to home. I’m not the only one dependant on the calls. My loved ones need them too. My fellow NUS-Grenobleans have been the greatest comfort; easily identifiable pieces of home. But not pieces of home who keep me rooted, pieces which define me and remind me who I am.

Decrire une personne

Philippe Labro, Manuella, Galimard.

Pictures updated on Facebook. (:

In 24 hours, it'll be a week since I've been away. I'm still doing good.

I've been furnishing my home. Finding appreciation in baguettes and school lunches and microwavable dinners.

I miss you guys.

Grenoble: Residence Houille Blanche

I'm alive and just about settled in. It is cold and my hands hate me for I don't have any gloves. The flight was good. I was stuck in between two guys who were polite enough. Everyone took off their shoes and no one's feet smelt.

Inflight Movies Watched
1) Dark Knight
2) The Duchess (In French with English subtitles)
3) Le Premier Jour de Ta Vie
4) London Mon Amour

Items I Picked Up From The Flight
1) A complete set of cutlery
2) Blanket

Items I Should Have Picked Up From The Flight
1) A second complete set of cutlery
2) The pillow ):
3) Snack Box

Details from the apartment later. Important fact is: I've got an Internet connection. Rice cooker is my new best friend.

22-700

I'm a self certified gym bunny. I've become someone who still looks fine in gym clothes but has none of the fitness that she should has. I'm actually embarrassed. I was with Li Zhen yesterday at a trial yoga class. My body aches as though as its taking revenge on me.

The gym was nice. It had a series of purple i-gallops and fancy machines and gorrilla like personal trainers. I loved the locker rooms. :) The yoga instructor was unsurprisingly flexible but surprisingly had a belly. He wore a tank that was too short and everytime he stretched upwards, a hairy belly peeked out. Sickening woozer images came to mind afterwards.

Encore Une Fois

Aujourd’hui, j’avais mon tutorat français.

I feel uninspired. Largely uninspired and partly deflated. After outliving the past week while being partly sick, this week has just been anti-climatic. Last week was 3 midterms, french oral and 2 mosaic events. This week was just one midterm, which me, like the rest of the freaky geeks around wanted a 100% for.

Oh God, im a workaholic. I live for the stress of deadlines and results.

Ive been putting off reading the 10th and final chapter of Animal Farm by George Orwell. Ive been reading in french. The first nine chapters has almost taken me a year to complete. Reading is french is not largely pleasurable. Its more of a language excercise; recognizing the tenses used and successfully deciphering the meanings of the verbs. Im reluctant to finish the book. A chapter isnt enough for a revolution. Im afraid that the evil pigs will continue to rule.

Silly, i know. But whoever reveals to me the ending, even a slight bit of it, will suffer vicious, vicious papercuts.

Feelzah has been entertaining me with minah impressions when I feed her breakfast and during our hurried lunches. Ive acknowledged that Im a Minah myself. Minah smart, which makes you a Mat. I havent decided yet which kind. Lol.

And Bob has changed as well. He shall now be known as, for at least a little while; Ahmad Tiger!

Feelzah has called hers Jake Bunga. And Irma has called hers Jamal Kebab. (:

HomeSpa!

I have had one of my loveliest saturday afternoon 2008. Me and the girls wanted to hang out because ChiaMin is heading back to DownUnder for honours. We were lazy to head out anywhere and dvds seemed like a good idea. We included a homespa as well. (:

I think Im actually pretty glow-ish. My hands and feet have been scrubbed with oatmeal mix which smelt like an incredible cookie mix. My cuticles have been soaked with Vitamin E. I made my own pore strip! It smelt horrible but was incredibly effective and practically cost-less. And my face smells of strawberries. (: Mpc thinks im describing myself like a Post cereal.

Paris Je T'aime was the dvd we watched. I loved it though it gets less and less impactful with each viewing. A pity though the Ben&Jerry's ice cream more than made up for it.

Happy Birthday Me!

Im 20. Ive gained access to the young old club. Im not ready to grow up yet. Do you think you have to once you've passed your teen years?
For wishlists are infinitely more fun than new year resolutions, here goes:

Presents are usually somethings that you cant afford to get for yourself (that's where the parents come in). Presents are usually silly things that you love and cant really bear to get for yourself. Presents are glorious surprises.:)

*A good book.
= I usually can't pick a good one off the shelves. Its horrible when you've devoted hours to one and realised you hated it in the end. I read George Orwell's 1984 this term break. Depressingly good. I absolutely loved it. Im ready to move on to the other negative utopias. So Zamyatin's "We" or Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" would be great. Positive utopias wouldn't be half bad either. Thomas More's "Utopia", Campanella's "City of the Sun" or Andreae's "Christianopolis would do as well.

*Pretty dresses
= Just because it'll look good in the wardrobe even if i hardly wear. And if I do, it makes for a nice change from all of the jeans I wear.

*Underwear
= Or more specifically, aerie holiday boyfly boybrief. Haha. They're hilarious and absolutely adorable.

*A beautiful organiser
= Weightless if largely possible. Lol. Its incredibly important. Organisation was key to my spanking good results this semester. Im intending to achieve the same or better. (:

mes yeux!

My eyes! Not daniel radcliffe porn again though that was horribly disturbing. Im down with cojunctivitis. Both eyes. Its horribly contagious. All of us siblings have it. Including dad. Mom is apparently immune and holding out well. I feel pretty much miserable and horribly unpretty. The doctor actually made me feel worse. She told me she expects me back on Monday, to further extend my MC. Sleep, the only thing i can most comfortably do isnt making me feel a whole lot better. And hungry as well. Haha. Selamat Berpuasa!

I cant confidently decide who I am.
I like being around people. Though Im only comfortable wih some of them.
I come alive in social groups. I have awesome leadership qualities.
I like my alone time. I like watching movies silently. Reading, walking and listening to music alone.
I like friends who you can just sit down next to on a comfortable couch, lean your head back and just stay like that for a while.
I thrive in arguments. I like shouting out my opinion, esp when Im right. I like random, random rantings, jokes and incredibly infuriating IQ questions.
I dont need to recharge after being socially on. I get irritable when I dont have enough alone time.

Im a freaking schizoprenic. I have two halves that dont always agree.

The two weeks of unreal school is over. The third week has just begun. Full lectures, tutorials and 8 hour laboratory sessions. I have resigned myself to being a mugging, anti-social freak for the 10 weeks of school left. (we have 13 weeks of school, not including breaks and ending before reading week.)

I have unwillingly relented to my new sleep cycle. Bed before 12, for i start at 8, every day for 5 days a week.
I've got an itch for a faux hawk though my hair's been cut just before the start of august.
I need happy kids' cereals for breakfast and coffee and teh tarik.
I need a lunch break on Thursdays.
I want bon bons des yeux in all my classes!

reunion

Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,
Teeach us something please,
Whether we be old and bald,
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with some filling,
With some interesting stuff,
For now they're and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we've forgot
Just do your best, we'll do the rest,
And learn until our brains rot.

A desperate weekend before the start of school. I'm really nervous and clammy. I moved forward since the first year though, seeing that i now have read the ivle announcements before school actually started. Things arent looking peachy though. Cm2111 on first impressions, is looking extremely intimidating with its weekly 2hour tutorials and a lenghty handout on proper lecture ettiquete. French is a happy exception! Lessons begin in the second week.

I miss my chemistry mates, the franchopiles and the et cetera. Haha.
